Latin American Studies Network
Description
Liverpool, as one of the five original UK "Parry" research centres for Latin American Studies founded in 1966, has a well-established reputation as a hub for the study of Latin America.
The Latin American Studies Network is a multidisciplinary network based in Liverpool that aims to unite experts in Latin American studies, support research in the field, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations among members. While the network is based in the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Film, it brings together scholars from across the university and beyond to share ideas and connect individuals and groups.
The network regularly organises seminars, workshops, and symposia to create opportunities for dialogue, sharing, and dissemination of research by members from across the North West and invites international collaborations. The Latin American Studies Network welcomes students, scholars, and the general public to learn more about the rich cultures, histories, politics, and social dynamics of the region.
