Stanislavsky Research Centre
Description
The Stanislavsky Research Centre (SRC) was launched at The University of Leeds in January 2019.
Based at the University of Leeds, the Centre is co-hosted by the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta. The SRC is a unique international initiative created to provide a home for both academic and practice/performance-based research based upon the work and legacy of Konstantin Stanislavsky.
The SCR is the parent-organisation of the journal, Stanislavski Studies (published by Routledge, Taylor and Francis). The Centre also originated and supports the international collaborative research project The S Word, which presents live, hybrid and on-line symposia, seminars and study sessions throughout the year. The S Word works in collaboration with institutions in the UK, Europe, America and Australia.
The SRC and The S Word also jointly support the book series, Stanislavsky And ..., which explores Stanislavsky's work and legacy in the context of issues of contemporary significance. The book series is published by Routledge, Taylor and Francis.
The SRC's website, Stanislavsky, Here, Today, Now, offers an open access archive of audio and video recordings featuring the work of many of the world's leading scholars and practitioners.
