Centre for Journalism

Description

The Centre for Journalism is committed to forms of research that engage with historical and contemporary issues in journalism, locally and regionally, nationally and internationally.

The Centre undertakes research that critiques journalism theoretically and practically and seeks to examine the central importance of journalism in facilitating an engaged democratic society.

A significant feature of the Centre's research environment is the dialogue between research and practice-based staff. This facilitates the design and development of research outcomes that have ‘real world’ impact in terms of both media policy and journalistic professional practice.
