Victorian Literature

Description

The 19th-century research group is organised around the successful MA in Dickens and Victorian Culture and the research interests of staff and postgraduate students. These include a strong engagement with Dickens studies and the novel; Victorian poetry; Victorian periodicals and journalism; Victorian science and psychology; aestheticism and decadence; animal studies; the environmental humanities; race, imperialism, and settler colonialism; oceanic and maritime studies; and travel, transnationalism, and cosmopolitanism.
