Description
The Research Network for Music and Health coordinates and promotes a developing academic community active in the fields of music, health and wellbeing (including the sub-fields of music in the community, therapeutic music-making and music therapy).
Current topics of inquiry include the potential health benefits of singing, the role of participatory arts (music and sound) in enhancing the psychological wellbeing of autistic adolescents and girls, music improvisation as a collaborative practice and route to wellbeing, the potential health benefits of singing, self-regulatory uses of music as a preventative health technology in everyday life.
