The Centre for Legislative Studies addresses the purpose and impact of legislatures, the extent to which they are multi-functional and functionally adaptable.

The Centre aims to:

  • To generate original research in the field of legislative studies
  • To act as a catalyst for inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional research
  • To provide an arena for researchers to share findings with parliamentarians and other practitioners
  • To publish original research in the field through articles The Journal of Legislative Studies and monographs in the Routledge Library of Legislative Studies, both edited within the Centre
