Heritage Hub, Hertfordshire
Description
The University of Hertfordshire’s Heritage Hub (HHub) was established in 2010. It sits under the University of Hertfordshire's Research Theme of Heritage, Cultures and Communities.
UH Heritage Hub provides an organised, unified, outward-facing identity for heritage engagement activities. It is open to all members of staff across all Schools at the University working in the field of heritage and with outside heritage partners, and all students, especially those taking the Doctorate of Heritage (DHeritage).
HHub’s activities are all participatory and community co-production research in heritage.
- Funding: We support and foster funding initiatives among University researchers and heritage partners, and are part of the UKRI Impact Accelerator Account awarded to the University in 2022, offering funding for community co-produced heritage projects.
- Oral History Team: Our Oral History Team is a dynamic group of staff, students and community members engaged in community co-production of oral histories.
- Research and training: We offer a range of research degrees in heritage, including the Professional Doctorate in Heritage, the only type of its qualification in the country.
