UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE)

Description

The UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE) is led by the University of Glasgow and comprises a consortium of eight institutions. Since its establishment in August 2017, CaCHE has been committed to tackling the UK's housing issues at all levels by fostering a multidisciplinary partnership between academia, housing policy, and practice.

With funding from the Economic and Social Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, CaCHE researchers produce evidence and conduct new research to address the UK's housing issues.

The centre's work is structured around seven overlapping themes, allowing for a holistic and evidence-based approach to understanding the housing system's complexities and inter-dependencies.

The themes include:

  • Choice,
  • Economy,
  • Governance,
  • Homelessness,
  • Markets,
  • Place, and
  • Wider Drivers.
