Kelvin Centre for Conservation and Cultural Heritage Research
Description
The Kelvin Centre for Conservation and Cultural Heritage Research integrates areas of expertise in the fields of conservation, technical art history, dress and textile history, and conservation science. Their MPhil and MLitt training programmes in Textile Conservation, Technical Art History, and Dress and Textile History are founded on object-based interdisciplinary practice and research.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of their work, as they partner with colleagues in The Hunterian, Archives and Special Collections, as well as in Art History, Archaeology, History, English, Physics, and Engineering. Their collaborations extend to a diverse range of national and international cultural institutions, including Glasgow Museums, National Galleries of Scotland, British Museum, National Trusts, El Prado, Smithsonian, Yale University, and the Getty.
