Music Research Centre

Description

The Music Research Centre promotes and supports creative research into the use and application of technology in music.

The Music Research Centre is attached to the School of Arts and Creative Technologies and houses professional standard acoustic and recording facilities, exclusively for postgraduate student and research use.

The building has been designed to the highest acoustic standard and includes the UK's premier listening environment for reproduced sound - the 150 seat Rymer Auditorium. The centre is equipped for creative work with digital technology including composition, surround sound and interactive performance.

Facilities at the Music Research Centre include the Arthur Sykes Rymer Auditorium, the Trevor Jones Recording Studio and the Ralph Vaughan Williams composition studio.
