Institute of Greece, Rome, and the Classical Tradition
Description
The Institute of Greece, Rome, and the Classical Tradition (IGRCT) promotes research into all aspects of Greco-Roman culture from antiquity to the present day, in the belief that classical culture remains a vital influence in the modern world. It embraces research from many fields, including history of all kinds, archaeology, literary studies, art history and philosophy, and has a particular focus on research that explores the links between ancient and modern.
Regarding funding: The IGRCT is delighted to offer funding to academic staff at Bristol on subjects falling under the IGRCT's remit. The IGRCT will consider funding a collaborative activity provided one academic in the collaboration is from Bristol. Funded events and activities are expected to be held in Bristol unless a strong case is made for holding them elsewhere
