New Routes, Old Roots

Description

New Routes, Old Roots is an arts-based action research hub, located within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University. It works with artists, schools, museums, community groups, and members of the public across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire to explore, and raise awareness of, refugee migration, marginalisation, and heritage (past and present). It does this primarily through arts-based activities and events including:

  • Community Action Research Projects and community engagement events in local, third sector and international organisations, schools, libraries, colleges and museums.
  • Public-facing seminars, symposia and conferences that bring together researchers, creative practitioners, schoolchildren, third parties, and policy makers.
  • Occasional publication of community-produced books, exhibitions, and other creative outputs.

The hub's approach is cross-disciplinary and collaborative, and it welcomes enquiries from groups, institutions and individuals who would like to suggest activities and events and participate in events already planned.
