The Pentecostal/Charismatic and Evangelical movements are among the largest and fastest-growing traditions within world Christianity and indeed of any faith.

The current academic staff of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies have diverse interests in the field and have published widely, particularly with reference to Africa, Asia, the Third World, practical/empirical theology and Pentecostal hermeneutics.

Birmingham is now one of the largest and most prominent research centres for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies throughout the world and the Centre's work has received international recognition and acclaim.
