The Centre for Bioethics and Emerging Technologies (CBET) focuses on the ethical and social implications of biomedicine and other new technologies. Through research, teaching, stakeholder dialogue and international networking, the centre engages with areas such as:

  • Ethics and philosophy of science
  • Policy, law and regulation
  • The broad social and economic implications of leading edge technologies
  • Bioethics in the media
  • Humanities and bioethics

The Centre also manages the production of The New Bioethics – A Multidisciplinary Journal of Biotechnology and The Body.
