The Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD) is committed to the promotion of excellence in teaching, scholarship and research. Since its founding in 2000, the centre has become a premier space offering interdisciplinary and vocationally-oriented postgraduate teaching and training in global diplomacy and policy. Embedded in the Department of Politics and International Studies and drawing on the distinctive regional expertise across the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), CISD's teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities look beyond traditional Western-centric approaches.
