Description

StoryFutures is Royal Holloway's centre for research, development and training in immersive storytelling and creative technology. It was led by Royal Holloway as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Creative Industries Clusters Programme, which ran from 2018 to 2023, with commissioning partners including Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity, Heathrow Airport and the National Gallery. It now operates as the StoryFutures Strategic Business Unit, building high value partnerships between academia, industry and creative practitioners and rolling out skills training in the creative use of advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. Its programmes include the CoSTAR National Lab, led by Royal Holloway, and, with the University of Surrey, the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Digital Media Inclusion.
