Global Politics and Development Centre brings together scholars working on the politics and policy challenges 'outside the West'.
Members study a range of ideas and processes across developing countries, and seek to establish common themes across parts of the world that together cover over seventy percent of the world's population.
The Centre’s key research themes include:
- Politics of migration, belonging, identity and citizenship
- Political economy of global development
- Politics of representation and recognition
- Elite politics and foreign policy
- Authoritarian and neopatrimonial politics
- Comparative political behaviour
- Global health and environmental governance
- Aid, lending, and conditionality
