Centre for the Americas

Description

The Centre for the Americas is an interdisciplinary hub of research innovation bringing together scholars working in the fields of US, Canadian, Caribbean and Latin American studies from backgrounds in literature, languages and translation, history, film and television studies, politics, philosophy and international relations.

Based in the School of Arts, English and Languages, the Centre aims to develop high quality, interdisciplinary research focused on the study of the Americas across and beyond the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

This aim is being addressed in and through a range of activities including annual symposia, a regular seminar series, research workshops, visiting speakers and public talks.
