Description
Design for Healthier urban Group (DHUL) explores around the inter-disciplinary research theme of sustainable urban living, with a particular focus on behaviour change.
Members explore the role of design in bringing behavioural change to achieve a better life. Academics in this team have a focus on specific behavioural change theme of:
- Health: Exploring role of design in increasing people’s health through Internet of Things, Design-led Interventions, and feedback devices.
- Safety and Transportation: Sustainable Transportation and Safety investigating attitudes and behaviours regarding sustainable personal transportation options such as electric cars, cycling and car sharing in urban environments
- Healthy and Sustainable buildings: Exploring the impact of retrofitted buildings lighting design and users’ behaviour on health and wellbeing
- Built Environment and Smart cities: Exploring the role of citizen engagement, participation and the role of digital enabled feedback.
