The Centre for Research into Creation in the Performing Arts (ResCen) – is a multi-disciplinary, artist-driven collaboration where academia meets the professional performance art world.

Based at Middlesex University, ResCen is immersed in the study of the 'artist at work', examining the creative process that occurs from an idea to a finished piece – and then documenting and sharing this research to art communities, across all disciplines, and across all borders.

ResCen also contributes to national and international policy and strategy debates that are igniting within the arts, helping to challenge traditional creative methods of thinking and redefine what it means to be an artist working in the world today.
