Anarchism Research Group

Description

The Loughborough Anarchism Research Group:

  • provides an informal space for the discussion, exploration and analysis of anarchist ideas and practices;
  • supports anarchism research across scholarly disciplines in the University;
  • helps raise the profile of anarchist studies through scholarship and public engagement;
  • co-ordinates with national and international networks to promote collaborative work and anarchism research;
  • organises seminars for researchers working on aspects of anarchist history and politics.

The Group contributes to the social, political and cultural theory strand in the Centre for Research in Communication and Culture, and collaborates locally and internationally with several partners.

The journal, Anarchist Studies, and the blog, Anarchist Studies Blog, are co-edited by Group’s members. The podcast 'Anarchist Essays' is afiiliated to the ARG.

Seminars are free, open to all, and are usually hybrid.
